2/7/06. Work continues on this old abandonned stream sink in Langstrothdale, with four digging trips in the last week. The cleared out shaft is still eating scaffold pole at an alarming rate, it is now almost 11 metres deep.

Meanwhile in a rift to the right hand side of the shaft, at 8 metres depth where the sinking water emerges, the bang boys are also progressing well.

Both sites emit a cold, powerful draught.

Digging at this beautiful location in God's county is somewhat tempered at the moment by the ceaseless onslaught from midges and horseflies.
