Dowkabottom Cave

The Morning After The Night Before

For those of us that had less than a gallon of ale (or in posession near-bullet-proof constitutions) during the previous day's WRPC AGM & Annual Dinner, the re-organised trip to Dowkabottom had just about everything else going for it:

Great variety of features - climb down entry, tall caverns, wading water (or a swim if you fancy it - touch on the cold side either way!), angled crawls, tricky squeeze, more water, mud, nice decor and only one strap & caribina required to get in and out. Lots to see and not too time consuming...and no tackle to carry up and down the hill - oh yes, forgot to mention...this one is nearly on the top of a hill (Dowkabottom - it's not at the bottom of anything!!??) - a nice climb to get you warmed up and to clear any cob-webs.

An early start was made for this season's photography competetion.

The Committe well represented (President, Secretary & Tackle Manager) and a good showing of probabionary members (all of them?).

Afternoon tea followed in the Presidential refreshment centre, which was enjoyed by all (expect for those that left early).
